Our Services

Here are some of the services we offer at TheraVet Pets.

Comprehensive Veterinary Checkup

A general vet checkup ensures your pet stays healthy at every stage of life. During each visit, your veterinarian evaluates overall wellness, checks vital signs, reviews diet and exercise routines, and discusses any changes in behavior or habits. This preventive approach helps identify concerns early and keeps your pet on the right track for long-term health.

The checkup also includes age-appropriate care such as vaccinations, parasite control, and breed-specific guidance. Whether your pet is young and growing or entering their senior years, the appointment is tailored to their needs, giving you a clear plan to support their comfort, health, and happiness.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a fast, pain-free method of treating pain and promoting tissue repair. It utilizes a process called “photobiomodulation” in which specific wavelengths of light create therapeutic effects. The laser light improves transport of nutrients across cell membranes. The effect is improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation, and reduced swelling. Laser therapy has been FDA approved since 2002 and thousands of studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of this procedure.

Laser therapy is used as a complement to other pain management therapies or can be used as on its own for lifelong pain relief. It works wonderfully for post-operative care, geriatric or arthritic pain relief, and physical therapy. It can also be utilized for wound repair and assisting in infection resolution. The patient feels no pain, just enjoys the sensation of a warm massage.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy uses water to relieve pain, aid healing, and improve overall fitness. Its buoyancy creates a low-impact environment that supports faster surgical and injury recovery—up to 60% quicker than other methods—by allowing earlier exercise, boosting blood flow, reducing swelling, and strengthening muscles and endurance. For dogs with arthritis, it offers non-impact movement that keeps joints mobile, prevents lower-limb edema, soothes neurologic pain, improves skin circulation, and reduces stress. Water resistance, which is 20 times greater than air, enables muscle building without full weight-bearing and provides a calming, enjoyable experience once pets adjust.

Hydrotherapy also enhances circulation, especially in distal limbs, while warm water and flow improve aerobic conditioning, endurance, detoxification, nutrient delivery, metabolism, hormone regulation, and deeper respiration. It is beneficial for arthritis, post-operative recovery, muscle stiffness or atrophy, weight loss, spinal injuries, hydro-massage for calming, chronic pain, and general sports or hunting conditioning. Weekday sessions are currently available.
